About the Event
"Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn." - Mahatma Gandhi
Every night when we end the day and we go to sleep, our thoughts and memories are synthesized in the brain to run through what aspects of memories are necessary to keep and continue a habitual pattern. It also determines what is useless memories to be discarded.
When we go through trauma, sometimes the mind discards fully the memories of the event and we do not remember it. Hence it does not create any problems in our lives. However even when small fragments of trauma is remembered and stored as a memory, the body remembers it and wires the brain to retain the memory in order to protect us. When this happens, the cells in the body store this memory. The brain wires the habit pattern and we start to see the problems appearing more and more in our lives. This creates the mindsets we have about life and how to go about life with that lens of trauma.
Mindsets can be divided into 4 categories:
Our perception of how we see ourselves and others
Focus on the past and project it into future problems. Unable to live in the present
3) Guilt / Fear
Fear of making mistakes, leading to judement, inhibition and control issues
4) Who I am
How to understand our true nature so that we can bring balance and harmony to the mind and body
In this MindScape Meditation we are going to use MindScape to:
a) Understand what mindsets and expectations have we acquired that makes us behave the way we are. How do they trigger an emotion. Why must we do things in a certain way. What do we avoid in our lives because we fear it? What excuses do we make for ourselves?
b) Death of the old self and old mindsets.
c) Rebirth of a new spirit to BECOME renewed. Renewal to achieve greater goals and things in life.
When we go through the renewal of the spirit, the brain cleans itself at night. The cerebral spinal fluid flushes the brain to remove toxins and stagnated fluid. Old cells will die and new cells will emerge. Bringing renewed energy, fluid, nutrients to the brain for you to start a new life in the morning.
Come for this class with a Goal of what you would want to achieve in your life. And we will meditate to shift old mindsets to bring a new beginning in your life.
